1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Briefly! These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Briefly ("we," "our," or "us") governing your access to and use of the Briefly mobile application (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services.
Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
2. Description of Services
Briefly is an AI-powered news briefing application that provides:
- Personalized news briefings based on user-selected topics
- AI chatbot for intelligent news discussions and Q&A
- Curated news feeds organized by topics
- Breaking news headlines
- Subscription-based premium features (VIP)
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time without prior notice.

3.1 Account Creation
You may use the App as a guest with limited features or create an account using:
- Google Sign-In

3.1A Guest Accounts and Data Merge
If you use the App as a guest, your preferences and activity may be stored under a temporary guest profile. When you choose to sign in, we may merge your guest profile (including topics, and other in-app data) into the signed-in Briefly account.
Outside of this guest-to-login merge flow, we do not automatically migrate data or subscription benefits between different Briefly accounts. You may restore purchases as described in Section 5.
3.1B Changing Sign-In Method
You may sign in using different authentication methods (e.g., Google, Apple, or phone). If you sign in using a different method and it results in a different Briefly account, your prior account data and subscription benefits will not be automatically available in the new account.
If your purchase was made through the App Store or Google Play, you may restore purchases as described in Section 5.
3.2 Account Security

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Extended periods of inactivity
- Any reason at our sole discretion
You may delete your account at any time by contacting Briefly.Feedback@gmail.com.

- Android: Google Play Store (subject to Google's terms)
We do not collect or store your payment information. All transactions are handled securely by Apple or Google.

- Your current subscription period will be billed at the original price
- You will see the new price in Apple/Google's renewal confirmation before being charged
5.5 Billing and Renewal

- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Your payment method will be charged within 24 hours prior to the start of the renewal period

If you've previously purchased a VIP subscription:
- You can restore your purchase on any device using the same App Store Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) originally used for the purchase
- Use the "Restore Purchases" button in the App
- You must be signed in to a Briefly account to complete restore
- Restoring purchases does not cancel your purchase or change the store account associated with the transaction
- Restoring purchases does not automatically move your app data between different Briefly accounts
5.7A Account Binding and Restore
In-app purchases and subscription benefits are associated with the App Store Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) used at the time of purchase.
At any given time, a purchase may be accessed by one Briefly App account. If you sign in using a different Briefly account, previously purchased benefits will not be automatically available unless you restore the purchase using the same App Store Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) originally used for the purchase.
In some cases, restoring on a different Briefly App account may require removing the existing account association (for example, by deleting the account currently using the purchase) before restoring.
If you delete your Briefly account, your purchase is not canceled. You may restore your purchase after signing in with a new or existing Briefly account using the same App Store Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) via the "Restore Purchases" feature.
You are responsible for ensuring that you are signed in with the correct account before completing a purchase. Except as required by applicable law, no refunds or compensation will be provided for purchases made under an unintended account.
